Advanced Systems Group (ASG) provided low-voltage fire alarm services for Byron Wellness Community’s new, 126,000-square-foot campus. Spread across 14 acres, the state-of-the-art facility required close collaboration between ASG, the client, and the general contractor, Weigand Construction. We provided the latest in fire alarm technology across the entire campus, consisting of two multi-resident households, assisted living residential apartments, a multi-use event space, campus café, and wellness center.


CLIENT OBJECTIVES

TheByron Wellness Community was constructed to replace the Byron HealthCenter—originally built in 1916—and took years of planning before breaking ground. 

PROJECT SOLUTIONS

As part of the low-voltage contract, ASG provided and installed the complete fire alarm system, including:
  • Addressable fire alarm panel and voice dialer
  • Digital voice control components
  • 17 alarm pull stations
  • 40 wall-mount strobe devices
  • 150 wall-mount speaker strobe devices
  • 228 photo smoke sensors
  • 28 duct detectors at HVAC equipment

With organizational roots as far back as 1853, today the Byron Wellness Community is a non-profit, independent health center and community providing specialized physical, mental, emotional, and health services to young- and older-adult residents.
